Your Feedback Needed: Standards of Practice on Cultural Safety and Cultural Humility

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is seeking feedback on a new document, the Standards of Practice on Cultural Safety and Cultural Humility.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) will be held to these standards when caring for people from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. The Standards of Practice require self-reflection in relation to cultural humility. They have a particular focus on providing culturally safe care to Indigenous Peoples. This focus is not to minimize the experience of other marginalized groups but is due to the traumas that Indigenous Peoples have experienced in Canada’s healthcare system.

The survey, linked below, will take about 10 minutes to complete and closes on June 21, 2024 (midnight).

Survey is now closed.
