Thomas S. Kent Named Newest Public Member of CLPNA Council

The Council of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is pleased to welcome Thomas S. Kent as its newest public representative. With more than 35 years of experience as a litigator, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge across sectors including employment and real estate law, contracts, and insurance. He currently serves as President of Trial By Design, Inc. in Calgary.

Thomas was named a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2000 and currently serves as a Chair of the Insurance Councils Appeal Board and mentor with the Law Society of Alberta. He has extensive teaching and mentoring experience and brings a wealth of knowledge in mediation and arbitration.

 

Council membership consists of 50% regulated members (appointed in accordance with the Bylaws), and 50% public members (appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council pursuant to the Health Professions Act). The Council is responsible for the governance of the CLPNA and the oversight of the CLPNA’s management.
